Two desired-state concepts produced by participants during the 2-day ESRI Generate and Design event (Chesterbrook, PA; facilitated by TechSoup and TechImpact). Each focuses on a pressing problem participants chose to address, expressed as a how-might-we design question plus an idea description, and journey maps showing how specific personas would interact with it.
These are a higher fidelity than the raw problem statements; they’re imagined solutions, not just needs. Use them to inform tools that help organizations address food insecurity, and work with local organizations to validate and improve what you build together.
| Design | Design question (how might we…) | Personas in journey maps |
|---|---|---|
| One System, One World | align data across unified systems so we can trust and benefit from shared data and meet administrative requirements | Marguerita, Dan |
| Personal Pantry | map the capacity of the food-distribution experience to connect people to food while preserving privacy and dignity | Reba, Gladys, Dan |
Journey-map model (the 4-stage lifecycle used at the event, a lighter cousin of AAARRR): Awareness → Initiate use → Engagement → Tell others. Stages are left blank where the room didn’t fill them in; that’s expected.
