Organization profiles

Who are the organizations behind the sizing data? These profiles describe them on the two dimensions the market-research team produces, budget size (median self-reported USD) and mission, organized by the UN’s four dimensions of food security.

Baseline for a proof of concept: subject to change. An organization can span more than one dimension, so counts across files overlap (the sizing table de-duplicates to unique orgs per region).

The four dimensions

# Dimension File What it covers
3.1 Availability availability.md The supply side: food physically present (production, imports, stocks, aid).
3.2 Economic & physical access economic-physical-access.md Whether people can actually get food: income, prices, market infrastructure.
3.3 Utilization utilization-safety.md Nutritional and biological use: safe, nutritious, properly prepared food; WASH.
3.4 Stability stability-resilience.md The temporal dimension: dependable access over time, resilience to shocks.

These map to the four food-security categories used throughout the corpus: availability, economic-physical-access, utilization-safety, and stability-resilience.
