You’re looking at market research that’s done for you: vetted, synthesized, and tied to real people in the food-security sector. Here’s a path through it.
Understand the landscape (10 min). Read sector/landscape.md (food banks vs. pantries vs. cupboards, and the Feeding America 60% / disconnected 40% split), then sector/why-this-is-hard.md so you don’t reach for a one-size fix.
Meet the people. Read the personas/: two clients (Reba, Marguerita) and two providers (Gladys, Dan).
Grab a use case and build. Each use case is a discrete user story you can implement on its own. See what real participants imagined in designs/ (One System One World; Personal Pantry), including journey maps of how people would actually use them.
How far to trust an item: check its validation: field. validated = grounded in the event/research
(strongest for US/North America food banks & pantries). hypothesized = ask a partner before relying on it.
Found a gap, or something that doesn’t make sense to build from? Open an issue. That feedback is exactly what we need right now.
